a vet tech is definately better than a vet assisstant, the assisstant is below a vet tech and a vet tech is right below the actual vet…i am going to be going to a school to train to be a vet tech in a couple of months and i would NOT reccommend going through an online school, this career is so hands on that online courses wouldnt offer you the same knowledge or experience as taking actual classes! you can get a degree through a university but many tech schools offer that, the most important thing is to go to a school specifically accredited by the avma!!!
