The second is usually single crochet and the thrid is usually a double crochet. You also learn to weave in the ends. Now, if you know how to do all of these, you can make the following blanket. Since I have no way of knowing how much yarn you will need, I recommend you use Red Heart Super Saver yarn. There are no dye lots to deal with so you will not have to match yarn.
