Which is better seroquel (quetiapine)or zyprexa (olanzapine) personal users/used please reply?
I used to be on olanzapine, it didn’t really control my moods as well as the quetiapine I’m currently taking does. I also put on loads of weight with olanzapine whereas I haven’t with quetiapine. Unfortunately though this is a very individual matter and what works for one doesn’t necessarily work for someone else. I’m surprised that you’re only having an anti-psychotic and not having an anti-depressant included as well. I get bad mood swings although not actual bi-polar and my psychiatrist put me on a low dose of quetiapine and a high dose of citalopram, this seems to help me. I can’t really say what effects the olanzapine could have on you to begin with, but as your getting bad effects with the quetiapine it could very well be helpful to change. Do as much research on the new drug as possible on internet, talking to your doctor, CPN, or psychiatrist.
