Personally, I wouldn’t buy Pearl, Diamond, or Platinum, I would wait and get Heart Gold or Soul Silver, they are the remakes of Gold and Silver for the DS. Release dates are not yet set, expected Spring 2010. But if your choosing between Diamond or Pearl, it all depends on which legendary you wish to be able to catch and a few other pokemon, but Platinum is the newest, and better than both.
