Which is better? Hill climbing or brisk walking?

0

Hill climbing burns more calories than brisk walking. You have to account that it also part endurance training because you’re fighting against gravity when climbing up hill. As for your knees, you can alternate a high impact workout w/ a low impact workout so you wouldn’t suffer from repetitive strain on your knees and legs. Make a workout rotation, alternate hill climbing, walking, then add cycling or swimming, as those last two are low impact exercises. Make sure that you rest between high impact exercises. You can climb one day, then rest the next, then you can brisk walk the day after. Also add weight training in your rotation. Cardio exercises alone doesn’t really work in losing weight and keeping it off. You have to add strength training as well. You need to tone up because additional muscle mass burns more calories.
