Which is better Georgetown or Johns Hopkins?
Both are excellent schools with great reputations. Overall, JHU is a larger school with a bigger endowment, however this is not very significant for the individual student. Both schools are heavily recruited from in the fields of business and finance. For International Relations, Political Science and Foreign Language, Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service and Johns Hopkins’ School of International Studies, both in Washington D.C., are the most established international policy schools in the US. For Medicine, JHU is well known for its massive medical center and attracts talented pre-med students. Georgetown also has a very good medical school and the smaller science classes make for a more laid back experience while losing very little. It comes down to a question of environment and gut impressions but you really can’t go wrong.
