Hi Manisha. I would like to suggest that you are going about this in the wrong way. You want to find a career that you will ENJOY. Every career path is challenging, but if your are motivated because you feel a passion for your chosen career, you will do what it takes to succeed in that path. So, the real key is find the career you feel passionate about! Dentistry and general medicine (the ‘home’ for most PAs) are very different skill sets. Both involve working with patients, however, they are very different in the types of knowledge and skills employed to help those patients. Dentists are surgeons – they “drill and fill”. This can be very technical; very hand/eye driven skills. General medicine is very different from drill and fill. It is heavy into history taking, physical examinations, and prescription medicine chemistry/biochemistry. Dentists are usually self-employed and fully licensed doctors.
