Intel is definitely the more well known company between Intel and AMD. Both produce high quality processors and equipment. Intel is the most widely known and more expensive. AMD is less expensive but just as good in quality. If you have the money feel free to spring for an Intel, but if you are don’t mind sacrificing the name to enjoy the same benefits and keep a little extra money in your pocket then AMD is the way to go.
