Which is better alpine type-R or Kicker L7 both in 12″?
The L7 does NOT have better SQ than the Type-R…. Really what sub would be better depends on what type of sound you are looking for. The L7 is designed more for loudness where the Type-R is designed for giving decent output and sound quality. The enclosure you use has a lot to do with the overall sound but generally this is what each sub will give you. Personally I would expand my choices. Look at brands such as FI Car Audio, Digital Designs, AudioQue, SoundSolutionsAudio, Mach 5 Audio…. As you can see there are many other subwoofer companies out there. Most of them you probably haven’t even heard of. I would suggest looking into these brands and more to make sure you get a good sub that will fit your goals. Good Luck!!!
