Which is better a petrol or electric radio controlled airplane?
electric motor and batteries have come on immensely in the last couple of years,the shear power and duration from them now is equal,if not,sometimes better than i.c,its not so much how the plane is powered,its the type that you need to look at really,if as you say you have no experience at all,a trainer type high wing plane is best,but as i found many years ago after a short time,i needed to progress.so,it really depends on your budget,and commitment,id suggest get hold of a cheap trainer first(electric or i.c) get used to it,then go from there,once your in a club,you’ll get so much help and info to help you along.
