Which is better a doberman pinscher or a german shepherd?
I love my two doberman girls! Yes, there is a little bit of shedding but nothing like you would get with the GS. Both breeds are very smart, need training like all dogs do, and make great family pets. The biggest difference for me is the hair–I vacuum twice a week and bath the dogs once a week, wash their bedding once a week. I would just have a stroke if I had to deal with GS hair. A reputable breeder is a major concern too we ran into some very unsavory people while looking for our dogs. Whatever breed you decide be sure and get a professional trainer for basic obedience at the very least. I don’t mean Petsmart or any of those types of pseudo-training either. We had a K-9 trainer who trains drug dogs/bomb dogs etc for the police. Also, we had private training not in a crowd of howling puppies and mass confusion. The money was well spent. Best of luck!
