Which is best in the treatment of spider veins – laser or sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy, if performed by an expert, has been very effective. One injection sometimes covers a fairly large patch of veins. Despite what most people think, injections are not as painful as laser treatments. Laser technology has been evolving for the last several years, and in my experience, the results are not as good as sclerotherapy that is performed by a trained and experienced physician. Furthermore, laser treatment is more expensive than sclerotherapy.
