A 16. The ideal place for worship is in your heart and the ideal term for this room is a prayer room because Hindus perform puja where as Sikhs, Muslims and Christians all offer prayers. Directionally, North East is a favored quadrant for a prayer room, at the same time it should not cut off the northeast corner of your house. Whether you or the deity should face east is debatable but the east west axis for praying is preferred over North South.
