Which is a better vacation spot Galveston Texas or Venice beach California?
They are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. The first time I went to Galveston there was a dead cow on the beach and the rusting hulk of a decaying freighter that had hit a sandbar many, many years prior. I also got tar balls stuck to the bottom of my feet. That’s what a lack of environmental laws will get you. Venice is a freak show complete with stoners holding signs asking for money to buy pot, homeless in RV’s, hippie drum circles, million dollar beachfront homes, vendors, artists and street performers. If the scene is too much for you keep walking down the concrete boardwalk until you see something you like more. Everyone should experience Venice Beach some time in their life.
