Which is a better quality entry door for the money??
In my opinion the Jeld-wen door is the best door in its price range. I worked for Home Depot and we sold a lot of different doors but for style and quality and value I believe the Jeld-Wen was the best door we sold. An the manufacturer will stand behind the quality and workmanship if you should find any flaws in the product. Important to consider is the type of door you intend for the location you have. For example many wood doors do not do well in a location that has a great deal of direct sunlight, especially if there is a full glass Storm door to “protect” it. The heat causes many problems. In this situation a fiberglass door would be a better choice. Jeld-Wen used to make a stain able fiberglass door that allows you the option of the wood tones in staining and the durability of fiberglass. Spend some time at your local home center and really shop the features and durability issues of all brands and prices then make the choice that is right for you. Happy shopping!!!
