Which installation file (ARM, MIPS, or SH3) should be used with which device?
You should use the ARM version of the CAB file when deploying to ARM-powered (StrongARM and X-Scale processors) Pocket PC devices (i.e iPAQ 3900, Dell Axim X5). You should use the MIPS version of the CAB file if you are deploying to devices that use a MIPS processor (i.e. Cassiopeia E-125). Finally you should use the SH3 version of the CAB file if you are deploying to devices that use a SH3 processor (i.e Jornada 540). You can determine the processor type for most Pocket PC devices by choosing “Settings” from the Windows menu on the device, then selecting “System” and “About”. Note that X-Scale processors, used in many iPaqs and other models, are variants of the ARM processor and use ARM applications.
