Which ingredient in beer is causing my allergic (?) reaction?
You might have issues with gluten, which is a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley. Beer has barley in it. That’s the most likely thing to be causing the problems, but it could be one of the other ingredients. Talk to your doctor about getting an allergy test done for some of the different ingredients. They do make gluten-free beers, and I’m sure they make beers out there somewhere that are free of other potentially allergenic ingredients.
