Brooker: The biggest trend is the overall adoption of software. Pretty much everyone uses billing software, but only a minority use scheduling or documentation software. This will change rapidly as PTs realize the software’s added efficiency and, in the case of documentation, the policy-driven necessity. The second big trend that PTs will face is the choice between a single vendor and an integrated assemblage of software from multiple vendors. Using a single vendor, users have one point of support. On the other hand, some PTs may want to look at their software decision in a modular way, by looking at many products and choosing the best they see in billing, documentation, and scheduling, even if they come from different vendors.
