Which industries have scientists that record their discovery data using paper records?
Dave, Actually, many scientists I have dealt with, from a wide range of industries, have an affinity for paper records. I think if the data gets automatically recorded in an electronic format, younger scientists have a tendency to be satisfied with that, while older scientists will print it off to be able to mark it up. If the data is manually recorded, initially the data is recorded on paper. Behaviorally, there might be something tied to the creative mind that prefers the sloppier note-taking form when in a creative mode. That has been my experience, in any case.
