Which holy scripture has mentioned the name of Jesus and Mary most than their own holy scripture?
1) Short answer: I found a Muslim reference saying that Mary was mentioned in the Qur’an more than in the Bible. It did not make such a statement about Jesus, only that he was mentioned quite often. I made some searches in online editions of the Bible, the Qur’an and the Book of Mormon: – the word “Mary” is mentioned in the Qur’an a similar amount of times as in the Bible, but she is only mentioned 2 times in the Book of Mormon. – the word “Jesus” is mentioned more than 1000 times in the Bible, 188 times in the Book of Mormon and 28 times in the Qur’an. 2) I found this: – Qur’an: “Sura 19 is called “Mary”, Jesus’s mother. Mary is mentioned 19 times in the Greek copy of the New Testament.
