Which has more demand in present day – Computer Science OR Information Technology?

First, computer science and IT jobs are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Yes, you will find very few people with a purely IT background working as software engineers, but there is a great deal of overlap between the two fields. Many people with MIS/IT backgrounds get jobs as programmers and software developers with technology firms, and many people with computer science degrees end up working as IT auditors/analysts in a more business-oriented setting. That being said and the nuances clarified, I would say (from my personal experiences) that there is definitely more demand for IT/MIS folks, but computer science people typically command higher salaries, especially in entry to mid-level positions.
