Which has a better future a petrochemical and petroleum engineer or a civil and management engineer?

There is some speculation that the world has reached the point of peak oil already and so from here on production of petroleum will gradually decline. This process will take many years and there will still be big efforts on searching for new sources of oil and for finding ways to extract more oil from existing sources , so jobs for the suitably qualified will still be available , but depending on your age such jobs may become less needed during your working life. On the other hand civil and management engineers are going to be needed in increasing numbers.
