Which guitar should I buy if I’m planning on performing at open mic/acoustic showcases?
An electro/acoustic guitar. It’s an acoustic guitar which has an internal pickup for amplification. A pickup is like a microphone inside the guitar, which can be plugged to an amp/PA system. The reason is that most venues do not have a good enough microphone to accommodate an acoustic guitar with no built-in pickup and your sound will suffer.
