Which guitar has a better sound- the Ibanez RG350MYE or the Schecter Omen Extreme 6 FR?
Out of preference I’d suggest the Ibanez. I’ve played that Ibanez, and it truly is a solid guitar. The Schecter isn’t too bad, but I love the Ibanez. The whammy bar on the Ibanez is a lot better in my opinion than the Schecter. It has a bit of a cleaner tone, and I find I can still palm mute easily with it there – it doesn’t really get in the way or anything. As well as the buttons tend to stay out of the way when you’re strumming pretty hard or trying to palm mute. The sustain and pickups are pretty much even to me – maybe someone else has a different opinion. Metal really isn’t my favorite style to play, but I can play it and I know my stuff!
