Which Group Health FEHB plans include dental benefits?
A. Only our High Option plan includes both dental and medical benefits. As a High Option member, you and your eligible dependents get full coverage after the deductible is met, for preventive dental care through Washington Dental Service. Periodontal care is covered at 50 percent when you get care from PPO providers and at 30 percent with non-PPO providers. Our lower premium Standard Option plan doesn’t include dental benefits, so you may wish to look at a Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) offering if you enroll in this plan. FEDVIP enables you to buy dental and vision insurance on a group basis, which means competitive premiums and no pre-existing condition limits. Premiums for Federal and Postal employees are withheld from salary on a pre-tax basis.
