Which Greys Anatomy episode is one of TVs all-time best?
TV Guide Magazine is counting down TV’s Top 100 Episodes of all time, and an episode of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ has already made the list. ‘Losing My Religion’, the final episode of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s’ breakout second season, ranks 63rd on TV Guide’s list. That’s a prestigious honor considering the competition included every episode of every show in the history of television! For those whose memories may be a little fuzzy, ‘Losing My Religion’ was the episode that included the death of Denny Duquette, an explosive, adulterous love scene between Derek and Meredith, and the hospital prom the docs were forced to throw for Chief Weber’s terminally ill niece. It also helped put Irish rock band Snow Patrol on the map through the use of their song “Chasing Cars” in the final scene. Echoes of this episode reverberated in the season five finale, when a seemingly heaven-bound Izzie boarded the Seattle Grace elevator in the famous rose-colored prom dress she was wearing when she discovered Denny’s body.
