Which graphics file format is better for importing scanned images?

0

Both formats allow you to import in SuperEdit (using the “Import Graphic” item in the File menu), but with PICT you can set the pictureData of a draw rectangle object to contain the PICT, making it possible to resize the image with less pixel distortion than usually occurs when an image is resized as a bitmap. Also, SuperCard’s bitmap objects are always 8-bit, while a PICT stored in the pictureData of a draw rectangle object may be of any bit depth. If you are using Supercard 2.5 or greater and have the appropriate color options on your monitor, you may display up to 24-bit graphics as pictureData.
