Which grant programs are not subject to the administrative provisions of the Safe Streets Act?
Recipients of federal financial assistance from other federal agencies other than the Justice Department are not subject to the administrative provisions of the Safe Streets Act. In addition, the following Justice Department programs are not subject to the Safe Streets Act’s administrative provisions: Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Programs Cooperative Agreement Program Indian Country Initiatives, including Indian Tribal Courts Initiative and Indian Country Alcohol and Substance Abuse Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Prison Rape Prosecution and Prevention Program Protecting Inmates and Safeguarding Communities Discretionary Grant Program Terrorism Prevention and Response Training Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) Programs Court Appointed Special Advocates Missing Alzheimer’s Patient Alert Program Victims of Child Abuse *Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) Programs [see the next Question] Children’s Justice Act Partnership
