Which Grand Canyon Park Should a European Tourist Visit? Monday October 15, 2007 I recently received an e-mail from a European tourist asking whether they should visit Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk or Grand Canyon National Park – South Rim. One of the main issues for them is that they were staying in Las Vegas and were heading north on their trip. They weren’t sure they had time to drive to the South Rim. Here is my response: You will have to decide whether you want to see the Grand Canyon National Park (south) or a more narrow part of the canyon that has recently been made a tourist attraction by the tribe that lives there. I believe National Parks are American treasures. If you want to save time but wish to visit Grand Canyon National Park, you can take a flight tour.
