Playstation 2 Console: Playstation 1 games are fully compatible with the PS2 console. All that is needed is a PS1 memory card to save gameplay on your PS2. PS3 40gb Console: No backwards compatibility. Only PS3 games can be played on this model. PS3 60/80gb Console (first release): Has backwards compatibility for PS2 games. Playstation One Console: PS1 games only.
