Which freshwater fish are compatible with PARROT FISH??
Parrot Fish temperments can be unpredictable. It depends on the size of the tank though, the larger the tank the more options you have. Other larger and semi-aggressive American Cichlids go well with them. Schooling fish go well with them too (Tiger Barbs, Larger Tetras, Rainbows). Loaches (not Kuhli), Catfish (be careful of Corys), Plecos… Beware of Gouramis, they tend to get bullied by cichlids. Stay away from Discus, Angels and Dwarf Cichlids for the same reason. Livebearers are too slow moving and don’t really school, they’ll end up eaten. Kuhli’s, Corys and Ottocinclus are just too small, I wouldn’t trust it. You’re basically looking for something that can stand up to the Parrot Fish without bullying it or something that is fast enough to not be it’s lunch.
