We have two primary versions of IXgen: IXgen 7 runs with FrameMaker 7, 8, and 9. IXgen 5.5 runs with FrameMaker 5.5 and 6. Because of risky API incompatibilities, however, we do not support IXgen 5.5 running with FrameMaker versions later than 6. If you have IXgen 5.5 and want to run with FrameMaker 7 or later, you will need to upgrade IXgen.
