Which fort is older, El Morro or San Cristbal?

El Morro has a turret encased in the Santa Brbara Bastion which was constructed in 1539. The oldest segment of San Cristbal was built in 1634. However, the majority of the outside walls we see today in both forts are the same age – dating from the mid-18th century.
