50 inches long will allow some fish to get to a nice size. I would suggest Angelfish, tetras (many kinds to choose from), mollies get a decent size (around 5-6inches). The angels will get the largest out of these and will be a little aggressive with large. Tetras can have a tendancy to “nip” at fins of fish like guppies. Tetras are also a schooling fish so I would suggest to keep them in groups of three or more. In a tank that large I think it’d look nice to have a few types of these. (Cardinal tetras are blue and red. They “shimmer” nicely and add color. Congo tetras are nice too and they grow a little larger than most tetras. Notice the link below to give you ideas.) Freshwater sharks are peacful (despite their name) and reach a nice size in a large tank. With the tank size I would say there are many combinations you could house together.
