by tax preparation I mean that the firm hires tax preparers the may or may not be licensed, for example H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, etc. by financial advice I mean the firm is licensed to sell securities and/or insurance and hires licensed brokers and agents for example Bank of America, Goldman, etc. H&R Block used to be the only firm I know of that had BOTH tax preparers AND licensed brokers in house and fyi CPAs are not licensed to provide financial advice in terms of investments and insurance!!!
