I would agree with the idea of shooting with the OM f1.4 lens and a “third party” adapter as long as you are aware that the OM lens designs, while of excellent quality, have a different optical structure that will reduce color & sharpness. This can be a plus in shooting portraits where a slightly softer more muted look is often preferred. I have one of the “official” adapters and it is a purely mechanical component so I can see no disadvantage to buying a less expensive model. I am planning to buy a second adapter (so I can have one on each lens I use on my E3) and WILL NOT spend $90 (US) for an item that I can get for $20. Also, consider looking at the OM Zuiko 85mm or 100 mm f 2.0 lens, while they are still pricey they are excellent pieces of glass and can be ideal portrait lens for 35mm AND 4/3 format. BTW here are links to a couple web pages with lots of information on OM lenses and cameras. http://johnlind.tr
