Which famous scientist helped us understand more about gravity and space?
It was sort of a progression. Johannes Kepler calculated gravity induced orbits, but did not identify the force. Galileo did experiments, which were convincing that the same force that caused something to fall to the ground, was what caused the planets to fall “around” the Sun. Isaac Newton is probably the person you want as your answer, as his work was the most comprehensive and detailed as to how gravity worked… at least in all non-relativistic scenarios. Albert Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity was a more complete model of gravity than what Newton had, but if this is for high school homework, I suspect the answer you want is Isaac Newton.
