María José Lubertino: The causes of the crisis are political and economic. There are factors and political responsibilities at both the national and international level. The political paradigm that is collapsing is partisan, patriarchal, vertical, authoritarian, misogynist, patronage-based and corrupt. After the dictatorship, this model prevailed in the power structures and it was maintained for twenty years with popular support, sometimes with good intentions and at other times with the worst intentions, but always with bad results for the majority of the population. The destruction of representation in politics put democracy itself at risk. But the implementation of an economic model that has resulted in the gravest concentration of wealth in the Argentinean history is probably as bad or worse than the anti-democratic and corrupt political system.
