Which exemptions require petitioning to the States and which are automatic, simply requiring mention in the Certificate of Compliance?
The exemption for package and packaging components involving use of recycled material or date of manufacture prior to the effective date of the legislation do not require petitions, but must be cited in the Certificate of Compliance and must be verifiable. All other exemptions require a petition and must include supporting documentation.
