I think that having a European best practice depends on whether we uphold the fundamental values and rules which form the Union’s foundations. We support democracy, the rule of law, good governance and politicians should guarantee the upholding of those values on an everyday basis, to the benefit of their citizens. This is no coincidence; in this way, we integrate the European values for others as well, who are aspiring to the European Union, as they are outside it. For me, this is of paramount importance and reflects how serious the responsibility for European best practices is. In conclusion, I would like to send a message on behalf of the Greek people to the Bulgarian people: our sincere and brotherly “welcome” to the European family. We are extremely happy that Bulgaria is now a member of the EU and we look forward to our cooperation for a better and more g
