Which economy is better usa or eu?
From wikipedia it states that Main export partners (of the UK) USA 15%, Germany 11%, France 10%, Ireland 7%, Netherlands 6%, Belgium 6%, Spain 5%, Italy 4% In other words, the EU accounts for a minimum (not counting other EU countries) 49% of British exports. UK imports account a total of 42% from the EU top 5. Healthcare is much better in the EU than it is in the US, education is much the same (at least in Western Europe), and crime rates are a whole lot lower. The EU has a much more robust economy than the US all things considered.
I’ve lived in both the EU and US. Grew up in Germany, France, and England. Lots of relatives in Germany that I still visit. Currently living in the US. Contrary to our violent movies and TV, the US is VERY safe outside of poor inner areas of large cities (where most crime is minority-on-minority). Far more likely to have your pocket picked or things stolen from your hotel room in EU than the US. The wait for routine health care in the EU takes weeks or months, whereas you can simply walk into a (paid out of your own pocket) clinic in the US immediately. EU heath care is not much cost out of pocket, but it’s mostly paid for in much higher taxes (70%-80% top rate in several EU countries, vs 33% top rate in US)… once you include taxes in the analysis, the “actual” cost of health care is about the same. Same goes for education. Total cost of annual education at US public school averages about 3 months’ salary for median US family. The US government also offers grants for most of the cost
