Which DriveRack is best for monitors?
It really depends on how many monitor mixes are desired, but let’s assume you wanted a loudspeaker management processor for two monitor mixes. The DriveRack PX can work for two monitor mixes, but will not provide independent control over the two mixes. In other words any AFS filters or EQ settings will affect both monitor mixes simultaneously. Please note that the PX will have to be manually optimized for monitors as there will not be tunings for such speakers in the processor. The DriveRack PA or PA+ is a better option as you can EQ the two mixes separately, but basically all other processing will still be stereo tied. Therefore, this adds just a little more control than a PX. However, it is more likely that your monitors and or amps may be in the Wizard of the PA or PA+, which may make setup a little easier.
