Since there are only three women Doctors of the Church and only one born in the 1800s I assume you mean Therese of Lisieux Although I would disagree here “little ways” writings were far more insightful and wise then accepting the kingdom of God like a child (despite what some people say including herself her spirituality was not in my opinion childlike, it went to deep for that) or do you say that because she was so young? Being young and simple in life does not make you a child, I child lacks the maturity to make the reasoned choice Terese did to be that way. EDIT: I also tend to think her being named as a Doctor of the Church was more a sentimental choice then something that was in response to her wisdom. Sainthood 100% percent yes. Doctor of the Church, did she really produce enough to be on the same list as Gregory the Great, Anselm, Ligori, Aquinas, Catherine of Sienna, and the rest.
