Which do you prefer using for cooking Sea Salt, Kosher Salt, or Table Salt?
Kosher Salt and occasionally sea salt. kosher salt is better for you. Why you ask……. Kosher salt is flaked salt instead of grained salt. This means that the flakes cover more surface area by weight. Therefore less is needed to get the same flavoring characteristics. A teaspoon of Kosher salt weighs half of what tables salt weighs so when adding Kosher salt to foods, you are actually using less salt. And because of the shape, you get the same salt impact using less salt. Rarely but occasionally I use salt at the table. When I do, I prefer a good sea salt because of the flavor added by the other minerals that are present in sea salt.
