Avoid the use of disinfectants or cleaners containing more than 1% or 2% alcohol (either IPA or Ethanol). Acceptable types of disinfectants commercially available include, but are not limited to: Phenols (e.g., Birex SE) Hypochlorites (e.g., Sani-Cloth Bleach Wipe.not to be confused with Sani-Cloth Plus, which DOES contain alcohol) Hydrogen Peroxide (e.g., OPTIM 33TB) Alcohol-free quaternary amines (e.g., Asepti-HB by ECOLAB, Lysol Brand IC Quaternary Disinfectant Cleaner.not to be confused with Lysol II IC, which DOES contain alcohol) **** CAUTION ****: Please be aware that most quaternary amines (.quats.) have a significant alcohol content (e.g., Cavicide, CaviWipes, DisCide ULTRA, Lysol II IC, etc).
