Which direction does the earth rotate on its own axis?

The space ha no direction . so with refernce to the space you can not say in which direction the eath spins . But with refernce to the Sun , you can say that the earth spins on its axis in the direction of the Sun which we call the ‘east and the opposite of it as the west The direction towards which the earth spins is east to the eath./ to us if you look down at it from the North pole it spins around its axis counter -clockwise and if you look at it from the south , it spins clock-wise.But the direction on both sides would be east only, that is the direction at wich the sun rises in the horizon every morning .
