Which digitizers are supported by Viewbox?
Almost any digitizer can work with Viewbox. It is recommended that you get one with a translucent surface, so that you can place the radiograph directly on the digitizer. However, a better choice may be the use of a scanner with a transparency adapter. With a scanner you enter the image of the radiograph into the computer and you then digitize this image on the screen using the mouse. A good scanner may cost the same as a digitizer and you can also use it to scan documents, photographs and slides. A scanner allows you to take full advantage of Viewbox’s advanced features, such as auto edge-locking and auto location of points.
