As long as its connected to a computer by a USB cable, you have a wide range. All the Canon Prosumer DSLR from the 20D on up can do it. The Canon 40D is a good camera that can be gotten refurbed or used at a good rate. All you will need is a long enough USB cable and the software CD that came from Canon with the camera. (beware, you can’t jsut download the software from the web, as some sellers will try to tell you, you have to have the software installed, to install the updated you download.). A small USB cable comes with the camera, but you can find much longer ones on Ebay or some camera shops too. Otherwise, if you need a new one, get the 50D. Depending on how long of a zoom you will need or want or if you want wide angle, that will affect which lens to get. Tamron makes some great lenses for the $$, (Esp the Sp which is thier Pro series) esp the 17-50 F2.8 SP for a very nice wide angle, or the 70-200 F2.8 SP for a good zoom that can be used in low light.
