Which digital camera brand is better….Kodak or Panasonic Lumix?
Most people who know photography will tell you that most Panasonic Lumix cameras use the same lenses as ultra-expensive Leica cameras. The Panasonic Lumix LX3 is one the world’s best compact cameras, but even if you are looking at different/cheaper models any panasonic is better than any Kodak. You can verify this by going to the premier site for comparing cameras: http://dpreview.com/ Do not let pixel count fool you: it has nothing to do with the quality and clarity of the picture, at best it is indicative of how much you will be able to blow the picture up. In this class of camera it is mostly a marketing strategy: there is no real advantage to having 12mp instead of 10mp.
