A number of individuals have publically stated their intention to run for Senator Hutchison’s Senate seat once she resigns. However, the Dallas County Democratic Party will refrain from listing candidates until after Senator Hutchison resigns her seat, Governor Perry sets a date for the Special Election, and the filing period to appear on the ballot for the Special Election begins. As with our policy towards Democratic Primary elections, we do not wish to provide any unfair advantage or handicap to Texans considering a run to fill this United States Senate seat.
